  1. TWO DAY/ONE NIGHT RAIL JOURNEY BETWEEN DENVER AND MOAB SILVERLEAF TRAIN AND ONE NIGHT HOTEL - DENVER – GLENWOOD SPRINGS - MOAB, UT

    DAY 1 – Depart Denver at 9:00 AM. Before long, you’ll  be taking in the scenic views of the Gross Reservoir dam. The train will slowly gain elevation before reaching the Continental Divide, cutting through 10 kilometers (6.3 miles) of mountainous terrain via Moffat Tunnel. You’ll continue along the Colorado River through more rugged landscapes and canyons, including the picturesque Byers and Gore canyons. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as you may get a glimpse of one of the creatures native to these canyons. You will then pull into Glenwood Springs about 5:00 PM. Transfer to your hotel and relax overnight. (B, L)


    DAY 2 – DEPART GLENWWOD SPRINGS AT 7:00 AM. Your journey begins as you head southeast past mountain vistas and desert cliffs. The rugged landscapes continue as you pass by Parachute Creek and Mount Logan towards De Beque Canyon, a 24 kilometer (15 mile) long narrow canyon with stair-step cliffs of sedimentary rock layers. Continuing east, you’ll pass by Mount Garfield, the highest point of the Book Cliffs. These sandstone cliffs and mountains stretch 320 kilometers (200 miles) from east to west and mark the crossing from Colorado to Utah. Breathtaking red rock formations emerge as you approach Moab, the gateway to Utah’s Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Arrival to Moab is scheduled for Noon.  End of arrangements. (B)

You’ll board a 4-wheel drive vehicle for a scenic tour of Monument Valley that includes John Ford Point, Artist Point and The Totem Pole, as well as learn more about Navajo culture and their traditions. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a scenic cruise on Lake Powell. Overnight in Lake Powell.

    DAY 6 – LAKE POWELL TO BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK VIA GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
